Adrenalina AEDO COMP. 10 Modular sofa

Aedo is a modular upholstered sofa with fabric or leather covering.‎ Aedo originates from the 2025 curatorial project “Adrenalina meets Museo Omero and Istituto Cavazza” and was designed by blind and visually impaired people, coordinated and guided by Debonademeo Studio.‎  Aedo is the final result of a journey in accessibility and design created for people with visual impairments.‎ It stems from a process of unconventional research and co-design, where design goes beyond the traditional idea of beauty and proposes a new aesthetic canon based on perception.‎ This sofa was not conceived through a visual approach, but a tactile one: its shape is the result of dialogue, observation, and exchange with those who explore the world through touch.‎ Aedo is the result of a synesthetic co-design process with visually impaired individuals.‎ Moving beyond the traditional concept of beauty in design, it introduces a new aesthetic standard based on perception.‎ Aedo features soft, welcoming shapes that intuitively guide the body toward comfort.‎ It explores new sensory languages where design is experienced through touch, integrating functionality and innovative ways of interacting with the home environment.‎ The encounter with their hands shaped a sofa capable of communicating without the need for sight, where every curve, every fold, every variation in texture is meant to be discovered through touch.‎ Not a sofa designed “for” blind people, but “with” them - to offer a universal model suitable for everyone.‎  By evoking the classical figure of the aedo, the blind storyteller who wandered through courts narrating myths and heroes, the Aedo sofa tells and interprets the extraordinary everyday life of those who use it.‎ It is an object that speaks to everyone, reminding us that design is not just image, but experience.‎ Materials: fabric/leather high resilience polyurethane foam var.‎ densities and dacron® fiber 100 gr layer structural frame in plywood iron hub base and feet Fabric type: SATIN.‎ GALA 17811 COL.‎25 CUIVRE' Further info from manufacturer on AEDO COMP. 10 Adrenalina
