Ambientec experiments with color for the first time together with Elisa Ossino. The designer has created the MADCO portable lamp for the well-known Japanese lighting brand: a lantern featuring a poetic minimalism where color forms a perfect harmony with light.
The magic of Japanese lanterns in a contemporary key.
Lightness, geometric abstraction and monochromatic colors are the hallmarks of Elisa Ossino's exploration of design. She says, "I really love Japanese culture, and with MADCO I wanted to evoke a simple and modern atmosphere that refers to the past and the iconography of Japanese lanterns. The colors in which the lamp is styled give the design a strong personality." MADCO's light source is a simple sphere, which can be rotated 360° to modulate ever-changing light configurations and rests on a visually slender metal frame that doubles as a handle. The recycled plastic lower shell, which encloses the technological components and transformer, is available in a palette of five warm and refined shades: oliva, pesca, cacao , mostarda, ciliegia.
Playful elegance in any setting.
Easily rechargeable thanks to the USB type-C charger and with a high waterproof rating (IP66), MADCO is a versatile and transportable object. The temptation to touch it and rotate it is irresistible, and you find yourself wanting to take it with you everywhere. "It is a very flexible design. It can be used on a table, or next to a bed, but also next to an armchair and can easily be carried outside to create a beautiful atmosphere near plants. The handle also makes it easy to hang," continues Elisa Ossino. Whether on the terrace, in the living room, in the bedroom or in the bathroom, MADCO brings a touch of lightness and playful elegance to any room and is also perfect for contract scenarios from a restaurant terrace to a hotel lounge.
