Floating World is a handcrafted rattan pendant light by Ango, created as a monumental sculptural lighting piece that explores the relationship between geometry, material, and light. Inspired by elemental forms, the design is constructed around a large flattened tetrahedral structure, meticulously handwoven from exceptionally fine 1 mm natural rattan to create a remarkably lightweight and translucent form.
Requiring approximately seven days of skilled craftsmanship and more than 14.5 kilometres of rattan, Floating World demonstrates the extraordinary precision behind every piece. The delicate handwoven rattan softly filters and reflects light, producing a warm ambient glow while revealing the richness and depth of the handcrafted structure.
Designed for luxury hospitality, boutique hotels, resorts, restaurants, and refined residential interiors, Floating World functions as both an architectural lighting fixture and a sculptural centrepiece.
