EXO® CHAIR

The Pilates Chair, originally conceptualized by Joseph Pilates as a compact workout system for New York City apartments, remains an ideal piece of equipment for training in limited spaces.‎ Like the reformer, it operates on a spring system, facilitating a progressive strengthening of the entire musculature.‎ The ground-breaking EXO Chair is truly the most compact, durable and functional Pilates chair on the market.‎ The EXO offers an even more challenging cardio/aerobic workout, making it great for group classes, personal training sessions and at home, for users of all levels.‎ DESIGN AND OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE.‎ The EXO Chair represents a fusion of design and functionality, offering a high-level workout in a compact space.‎ It has a tough yet lightweight frame that makes it easy to move, stack and store.‎ The EXO Chair offers a host of new Pilates Chair exercises, including many previously done only on a Reformer.‎ The innovative EXO Chair combines traditional functionality for full-body workouts with innovative new features like the optional Slastix resistance training system.‎ STRATA ROCK MAPLE AND ARTISAN MAPLE.‎ Balanced Body wood is beautiful, inviting to the touch, absorbs noise and is built to last a lifetime.‎ Our woods and construction methods are time-tested for 40 years, giving us the seasoned confidence to offer—and stand behind—our Lifetime Warranty.‎ We offer two standard wood choices, Strata® Rock Maple and Strata® Artisan Maple.‎ Strata’s superb strength and durability come from its solid, multi-grained core, laminated in alternating grain directions.‎ This creates an exceptionally strong, straight board, neutralizing the forces that could otherwise cause twisting.‎ The result is an unusually strong and sturdy wood, ideal for Reformer frames.‎ All Balanced Body woods are complemented by a smooth and lustrous finish that brings out the beauty of the natural grain and protects the wood.‎ ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE - NO COMPROMISES.‎ The wood comes from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified suppliers who operate with sustainable practices.‎ In these forests, tree growth exceeds removals by a nearly 2-to-1 margin.‎ The Strata engineering process also uses more of the tree with very little waste, making it not only stronger than single-plank wood, but more environmentally sensitive.‎ CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS.‎ EXO Chair is transformed with a refined selection of exclusive materials, ideal for enhancing the most elegant spaces.‎ One can choose from a palette of 35 upholstery colors, ensuring a personalized and classy touch in any setting.‎ The basic upholstery color is black, while additional shades are available upon request at an additional charge.‎ Further info from manufacturer on EXO® CHAIR Balanced Body
