VUOTA is a wooden and aluminum table lamp, designed by the Milá + Laucirica studio.
It challenges the traditional notion that light radiates from the center outward—in fact, it reverses this process, creating a structure that hollows out its geometric center, allowing light to be embraced and absorbed by this central void.
This concept introduces a new perspective on how light can interact with its surroundings.
The indirect light, interacting with the wood through reflections and nuances, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, inviting one to enjoy the space in an intimate and enveloping way.
Its configuration, inspired by a three-point support scheme, ensures both stability and lightness, resting solely on points of tangency that provide perfect balance.
The choice of materials, such as wood and aluminum, allows for a blend of elegance and functionality, giving it a distinctive identity.
The plywood, with its reddish and golden tones, brings a warm and natural glow, while the aluminum, with its clean and lightweight lines, provides balance and delicacy. Together, they evoke a subtle maritime inspiration, recalling artisanal details that deeply connect with the Mediterranean environment.
The light is indirect, intended not only to beautify but also to transform the space into a place of well-being.
It is available in three sizes.
