Knot, a collection of striking pendant lights, contrasts two different materials and two different concepts: gentle curves of clear, hand-blown glass and the austerity of a coarse rope. The resulting design is striking, direct and dignified all at once. Full-bodied globes in various shapes and sizes are threaded through a sturdy rope, which ends at the collection’s central design element — the knot — which appears to pull the base of the glass inwards, thus creating a bewildering three-dimensional effect. The LED light source is mounted beneath an elegant hood made of perforated metal and protected from below by a hand-blown opal diffuser. A further metal component serves to cover the end of the rope. KNOTS are suitable for both private and public interiors and make a particularly striking statement above dining tables. The collection comprises four pendant lights and various colour options. Knot Small expands the Knot collection with smaller versions of each light. The reduced size is a response to the growing demand for compact lights suitable for smaller interiors with lower ceilings.
In 2024, the collection was expanded to include four new finishes designed to replace copper and brass: brushed champagne lacquer, brushed bronze lacquer, brushed rose gold lacquer and brushed copper lacquer. The lights are now also available with cables made from black or white artificial silk.
