It invites you to sit in an embrace that smells of salt and sea breeze, abandoning yourself to the hypnotic rhythm of the surf, Metaponto, the new armchair of the Allover collection.‎ Designed by Mauro Lipparini for Casa® International, it recalls the sea in its lines, materials and design concept, giving the impression of being able to sink into a magnificent abyss of comfort and well-being.‎ A collection that is renewed every year, maintaining a profound coherence despite constant updating, Allover is made up of projects created to last over time, making possible an unlimited range of combinations between elements of the different collections: a design choice that infuses great dynamism into spaces, renewing them without distorting their style.‎ The Metaponto armchair looks like a sculpture designed by the incessant work of the surf.‎ Dedicated to the birthplace of the philosopher Pythagoras, Metaponto encloses in its very name – which means “beyond the sea” – the essence of the creative process that inspired Mauro Lipparini, Art Director of the brand, in defining the project.‎ The sinuous shape of the armchair, although graphically dry, recalls a bridge, and the large backrest with generous “ears” generates an articulated, well-defined and very ethereal formal complex, reminiscent of dunes and depressions in the sand.‎ The refined construction technique makes Metaponto extraordinarily light and at the same time robust, while in its straightforward dryness the correct ergonomic lines make it comfortable.‎ The shape of the armchair facilitates conviviality, giving life to a model that asserts itself as a protagonist in different contexts, thanks to its natural modernity that does not, however, renounce a light allure of stylistic memory.‎ The quest for the warm, inviting home that expresses one’s personal sensibility evokes the quest for home itself, a quest as timeless as the Homeric journeys of Odysseus o’er the wine-dark sea.‎ Casa International and Mauro Lipparini continue their mutual exploration into unmapped territory with the newly updated and expanded ALLOVER collection.‎ Featuring distinctive, striking pieces ready to be incorporated into an endless variety of interior settings, the collection allows the domestic space to convey a breadth of welcoming moods and tones.‎ The quest for home, for the ideal and meaningful home, is answered with ALLOVER.‎
