PANTALICA
Tanned leather and glass pendant lamp
The Pantalica chandelier is very striking. Here the reference is to the splendid archaeological site on the outskirts of Syracuse, an example not only of artistic and naturalistic beauty, but also of human authenticity, whose aesthetic legacy is collected and interpreted by the design. Inspired by the Bauhaus, the lamp takes on the features of a universe in which the planets are placed along the same axis and pierced by the brightness of a tube that radiates light from sources placed at its ends. The composition is made more earthly, less abstract, by the large natural leather strap, which allows you to vary both the layout (horizontal or inclined) and the desired height, keeping suspended an ideal system of planets made of globes, metal disks and a glass cylinder; transparency and materiality come together, thus, in a sophisticated and elegant language.
