RONDINE
Easy chair without armrests
An armchair crafted entirely from FSC-certified solid American walnut, designed by DRAW Studio in 2017. Its construction techniques reflect the company's long-standing expertise and strong tradition in fine woodworking. The name Rondine (Swallow) is a clear reference to its silhouette: the rear structure of the backrest opens out to form the supporting legs, evoking the distinctive tail of a swallow. This solution provides excellent stability while creating a unique and iconic form. The designers' passion for the archetypes of European design from the 1950s and 1960s is expressed through the generous curves of the seat and backrest, both made of upholstered curved poplar plywood. These elements can be upholstered in fabric, leather, or natural leather. The seat is mounted to the frame by means of four turned brass pivots, while the backrest is secured to the wooden structure with screws concealed by two circular brass covers.
