With Upside, Refin's Laboratory has reworked Massimiliano Adami's original project in a new light, interpreting the authorship of the original idea in a range of surfaces made possible by new production technologies, giving life to a reissue that maintains the designer's stylistic signature and enhances the full strength of his idea.‎ The identity element of the collection is the checkered geometric pattern, originally derived from the structure on the back of the tiles and now created through a grid of raised lines intersecting to recreate the same decorative motif.‎ The distinctive feature compared to the original design is represented by the continuous grid proposed in a larger format, evolving Adami's mosaic in a contemporary key by expanding and enhancing the geometry of the decoration.‎ Combined with the updated color palette, this continuous grid makes Upside a collection that surprises with its great aesthetic and visual power.‎ Further info from manufacturer on UPSIDE Ceramiche Refin
