FLOOR LANDSCAPE
Wooden wall/floor tiles
Floor landscape is the result of a multidisciplinary approach to the theme of surfaces, which starts from the study of Italian culture linked to art, sculpture, architecture and the professions that have made our country an expert of innovation and know-how.
The Floor Landscape collection is not a product, but the result of conscious and empathetic thinking towards the CP Parquet brand.
Monica Armani's project for CP Parquet is a true and authentic vision, drawing inspiration from the landscape of Italian culture to embody its most significant values and lead them back to design solutions in the field of wood surfaces.
The search focused on four settings to which four different stories belong, Milan, Florence, Venice and Corvara: drawing inspiration from these magical places for colour combinations and types of cut and decoration.
Each world has its own materials, and compositional solutions consistent with the history of the area.
Therefore, they give rise to worlds of incredible beauty, consistent with the company culture which is dedicated to great projects, and the tailor-made concept.
The Floor Landscape project combines horizontal surfaces with vertical panelling and perimeter profiles.
The various components are design ingredients for vertical floor and border solutions, or even for articulated and functional landscapes.
The project stems from the idea that a space, whether domestic or hospitality, always represents a three-dimensional volume on which to put a dress.
The idea that wood is made into a garment, and that the surface is a fabric on which to apply decorative textures allows one to compose a personal pentagram with ever-changing melodies on which to apply freedom of expression without boundaries.
Floor Landscape is a wide-ranging project that provides the basic ingredients, but also several laying solutions.
Floor Landscape by Monica Amani is a concept and not a product. The result of a humanistic vision has given rise to innovative thinking, which now bears witness to the Italian excellence represented by CP Parquet.
Milan
The architectural artistic and literary presence of the Lombard capital is the cradle of several modern art movements.
The Milanese culture of the 20th century and its applications in design provided the inspiration for a floor with an innovative angular cut that can be associated with the Scala and Quadro borders and the Niemeyer and Necchi and Giò panelling.
The style is graphic, neat, and consistent with the Milanese tradition of wooden floors with a thorn effect but with a more contemporary twist.
Florence
Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance, the awareness of a new era after the Middle Ages and the rebirth of culture, art and the Italian language.
And it is precisely the language celebrating the creative cradle of art that laid the foundation for the Tondo and Bifora panelling design, a graphic synthesis of the period's characteristic architectural feature.
Combined with the horizontal surfaces and dedicated Minima and Goccia borders, they create complete and easily modular sets.
Venice
La Serenissima has a history of incredible uniqueness, both in terms of landscape importance and the way its monumental architecture is integrated with the dense waterway network.
Venetian culture was thus able to accommodate different stylistic periods and turn them into a stage of extraordinary beauty.
The concept of integration shapes the creative hypothesis for the Venezia textured floor with cross-woven effect, to which the Arabesco and Cà D'oro panelling are matched.
A homogeneous, non-redundant effect reminds us of the memory of the past and our traditions by simplifying the aesthetic codes with configurable laying patterns and no limits for horizontal or vertical extensions.
Corvara
The name of a village in the Eastern Alps bears witness to the magic of the Dolomites, which not only characterises Italy's most striking natural landscapes, but is also marked by the distinctive physical characteristics of the “Dolomite” rock, which is darker than the surrounding Alpine mountain systems.
The Dolomites are also the setting of unique skylines; they are our mountain skyscrapers and have inspired some of the graphic solutions for the Floor Landscape collection.
Corvara flooring encapsulates the appearance of Dolomite rock with staggered cuts and particular angles that can be associated with the dedicated panelling bearing the same name.
The effect of a delicate irregular but orderly pattern is superimposed on woods with colours consistent with a reference landscape of muted grey tones.
