PUSHSYSTEM

PUSHSYSTEM is DIFECH 's innovative, low-invasive piling system that can be used both externally and internally in any structure, thanks to its compact dimensions and simplified operating procedures.‎ The prerogative of PUSHSYSTEM is the possibility of choosing the pile installation method according to geotechnical and structural conditions.‎ In fact, the piles can be driven in by rotation or thrust, respectively with the aid of a motor or hydraulic jack, both installed on a frame to be previously solidified to the foundation/floor to be worked on.‎ PushSystem can also be usefully exploited for the preliminary drilling of core holes in the structures and/or foundation substrates to be driven through to reach the depth assigned to the pile.‎ In the field of the stabilisation of existing structures, the fundamental peculiarity of the PushSystem system is the installation of immediately active piles by virtue of the preloading carried out on each pile before the final connection to the structure with consequent cancellation of the primary subsidence.‎ This is an undeniable advantage over traditional piling systems, especially when working on structures that have already been damaged by subsidence.‎ The specific installation procedure for PUSHSYSTEM piles offers the further undeniable advantage of being able to check the load-bearing capacity of each pile installed during installation.‎ The PushSystem has been developed to precise specifications exclusively for DIFECH using the best technologies available on the market, guaranteeing the reliability and durability of the results obtained over time.‎ FIELDOF APPLICATION PUSHSYSTEM can be used whenever there is a need to transfer loads transmitted by superstructures in depth.‎ This occurs very frequently when structures transmit high loads to the ground, but also when, even with limited loads, the foundation soils have poor mechanical characteristics.‎ DIFECH's team of engineers and geologists is able to formulate ad hoc intervention proposals for any application, whether in the field of consolidation or the construction of new structures.‎ In the latter field of intervention, a particular application of PushSystem is the creation of foundation systems for temporary structures.‎ PALO PUSHSYSTEM uses micropiles consisting of modular elements made of S355 steel with threaded coupling.‎ The standard modules used have a length of one metre and a diameter and thickness of 76 and 8 mm.‎ In order to increase the load-bearing capacity of the piles, it is possible to: - insert helixes in the first modules installed; - equip the piles with valves for the subsequent injection of cement mixtures.‎ The modularity of the PushSystem micropiles makes it possible to apply one or both of the above strategies only where they are effective, i.‎e.‎ only in the modules inserted in the soil layers identified as load-bearing.‎ In this way, it is possible to rationalise the geometric configuration of the pile as much as possible according to the geotechnical context, avoiding unnecessary waste and containing the costs of the intervention at the same time.‎ MATERIALS PUSHSYSTEM uses S355 steel of certified origin for poles and connection carpentry.‎ All raw material transformation processes are carried out at Transformation Centres authorised by the competent Ministry, in accordance with Ministerial Decree.‎ 14 January 2008 "Nuove Norme Tecniche per le Costruzioni" (New Technical Standards for Construction) regarding the use of steel for structural purposes.‎ OPERATIONAL METHODS PUSHSYSTEM piles are driven in either by rotation or by pushing with the aid of a motor or hydraulic jack, both installed on a frame to be previously anchored to the foundation/floor to be worked on.‎ Where necessary, the first step is to drill holes in structures and/or foundation substrates that impede the subsequent driving of the pile.‎ The driving of the piles continues until the load-bearing horizon is reached, with continuous monitoring of the pressures/torques applied.‎ This procedure makes it possible to check the conformity of the geotechnical conditions at each installation point with those resulting from the preliminary geognostic tests and, consequently, to make the necessary corrections during construction in the event of any inhomogeneities.‎ The specific PushSystem pile installation procedure makes it possible to check the bearing capacity of each pile installed during construction.‎ While the posts are being driven in, the load-bearing capacity of the structure is also monitored along the entire face of the project with the help of laser levels and multiple readers attached to the structure.‎ The PushSystem posts are connected to the foundations/flooring using metal structural work of different shapes according to requirements.‎ The S355 steel plates are firmly anchored to the foundations by dowelling using mechanical or chemical anchors, depending on the quality of the substrate.‎ In the absence of a foundation, it is possible to create metal beams or reinforced concrete connection kerbs by providing special metal connection elements in the reinforcement of the latter.‎ The final connection of the PushSystem pole to the structure is made by welding or bolting the pole head to the connection metalwork after applying loads greater than the operating loads to the pole and at the same time as the primary subsidence is exhausted.‎ This procedure makes it possible to greatly reduce the residual sagging of the PUSHSYSTEM pole and make it immediately active.‎ ADVANTAGES Compared with traditional piling technologies, the PushSystem - greatly limits invasiveness, impact and duration of the site; - offers the possibility of choosing between two different installation modes (rotation or thrusting) depending on geotechnical and structural conditions; - allows any local inhomogeneities in the ground not revealed by preliminary geognostic tests to be found at each installation point; - allows the capacity of each pile installed to be verified; - allows the preloading of piles to make them immediately active and greatly reduce residual subsidence; - allows lifting for partial/total recovery of subsidence (compatibly with the structural response); - allows a marked pulling effect in all conditions of use (through the insertion of propellers at the tip); - does not produce waste material, avoiding transport and disposal at authorised dumps.‎ - does not produce harmful vibrations.‎
