Vasca prefabbricata are used in animal husbandry to contain slurry, in industry in sewage and liquid containment plants, in biogas/biomass plants to contain digestate.‎They are made up of modular, statically independent elements that make it possible to construct tanks of varying heights with flat or lowered bottoms, in or above ground, in the following shapes: circular or elliptical; square, rectangular or triangular; multiple with one or more compartments.‎ These tanks are particularly flexible and convenient.‎ The tank elements are industrially manufactured from special waterproofed concrete with a low W/C ratio, with high-strength and improved adhesion steels.‎ They are subjected to strict quality controls and possess mechanical properties that are considerably higher than those obtainable with tanks cast in situ.‎ For these reasons, these tanks have greater impermeability and durability.‎ In addition, the tanks consist of elements connected to each other by elastic and watertight joints that absorb dimensional shrinkage, thermo-hygrometric and settlement movements.‎ For this reason, they do not crack.‎ They are prefabricated products with the highest concrete exposure class (XA3 in accordance with UNI EN 206-1) for the protection of the product from chemical attack in highly aggressive environments.‎ Possible insertion of a lightweight structure or prefabricated slab roof.‎
