Fibre Net
The BETONTEX fiber-reinforced facing system consists of carbon or glass fiber fabrics, meshes, flakes to be on-site impregnated and/or preformed laminates and rods to be bonded by means of thermosetting epoxy resins. It enables the increasing of shear, flexural and compressive strength of historic or modern structures.
The FRP fiber-reinforced facing technique is the ideal solution for:
Fastening, confining and encircling buildings
In-plane and out-of-plane reinforcement of structural elements
Consolidation of arches and vaults
Strengthening and stiffening of steel, timber or hollow clay blocks slabs
Improvement on compressive strength of masonry and concrete columns and piers
Consolidation of degraded structures
With BETONTEX system it is possible to apply localised reinforcements on the most stressed structural elements or zones such as pillars, beams, beam-pillar connections and inter-floor and top kerbs. The application is therefore carried out in a punctual manner, calibrating the quantity and arrangement of the fibers so as to optimise the mechanical properties of the reinforcement. Unidirectional, bidirectional and multi-axial fabrics are available for on-site impregnation, suitable for application on architectural elements with irregular geometries.
