Gejst OYA Steel laundry container

The Oya Laundry Basket redefines a household essential.‎ Traditionally hidden away, the laundry basket becomes a statement piece that enhances the interior whether placed in the bedroom, hallway or utility room.‎ Crafted from perforated metal in collaboration with Søren Rose Studio, Oya combines durability with lightness.‎ Two overlapping shells create a distinctive florallike pattern, transforming an industrial material into an elegant design object.‎ Available in Warm Grey and Dark Grey, Oya brings subtle sophistication and timeless functionality into everyday living, and comes with a 75-liter cotton bag.‎ The name OYA is inspired by the Japanese word kakomu, meaning to surround or embrace.‎ The name also echoes tsutsumi (to conceal) and the organic form of the tulip, folding softly around its core.‎ With their round, shiny surfaces and distinctive “halo” ring, the baskets combine function and design, embracing and framing everyday contents with sculptural elegance.‎
