TALEA
Freestanding washbasin
TALEA is a freestanding washbasin designed by Silvana Angeletti and Daniele Ruzza for HATRIA in 2026.
Talea is a collection born from the concept of care. The name evokes the ancient practice of propagation: a simple act that unites memory and the future, continuity and transformation. In this project, care becomes a design principle and guides every formal choice. The washbasin seems to blossom outwards, with a full, textured volume that conveys solidity and presence. The prominent rim, which projects beyond the base, invites touch and defines a clear boundary between the exterior and interior. The surprise effect is revealed in use: the basin, wide and deep, remains almost invisible until viewed from above. The washbasin complements a storage unit with a bold character, designed to furnish the bathroom with the same dignity as other rooms in the home. The system is also available in a version with shelves, offering a more open and versatile solution. Its generous depth, designed to ensure comfort and functionality thanks to the option of surface-mounted or semi-recessed installation – as well as pairing with its own unit – is integrated into a compact, sculptural exterior form. Together, they create a cohesive space in which the bathroom becomes a room to be lived in. Completing the collection, a round mirror cabinet introduces a soft, enveloping touch, evoking a 1960s aesthetic reinterpreted in a contemporary key. TALEA interprets wellbeing as a daily experience, through balanced proportions, attention to detail and the quality of materials.
