BOUCAN
Framed oval wall-mounted wooden mirror
An emblematic piece of the Boucan collection, the Grand Mirror belongs to a world where botanical inspiration meets the artistic vision and functional rigor characteristic of graphic designer Juraj Straka. Trained in textile design, he transposes here his affinity for organic motifs and dense compositions into an everyday object. Foliage, color, and graphic rhythms frame the mirror, establishing a strong visual presence without freezing the space. The Boucan Mirror can be installed on its own, as a statement piece, or enter into dialogue with other elements of the collection. It thus allows for an evolving wall composition, where the motif extends and transforms, inviting nature into the home with balance and freedom.
Designed by Juraj Straka, a graphic designer with a background in textile design, the Boucan collection explores an approach in which pattern becomes landscape. Drawing on lush vegetal references and a dense jungle-inspired imagery, it unfolds a rich scene populated by foliage, animals and intertwined graphic forms. Initially developed through light and textile — with a pendant lamp casting an openwork canopy onto the ceiling and velvet cushions in deep colours — Boucan has since expanded to include new pieces such as mirrors and wall hooks, allowing the collection to inhabit the space more fully. Across walls, ceilings and seating, the motifs circulate and interact, creating a vibrant environment that transforms the interior into a living, immersive and expressive setting.
