Inbani NORM MATERIA Freestanding rectangular bathtub

NORM MATERIA is a rectangular freestanding bath designed by Norm Architects for Inbani in 2026.‎ Designed by Norm Architects for Inbani, MATERIA emerges from a clear intention: design should be experienced through the senses.‎ In a world that increasingly distances us from the physical, the collection reclaims the bathroom as a sensory refuge - a place to reconnect with calm and with the inherent honesty of materials.‎ MATERIA is an invitation to experience design phenomenologically: the rhythmic grain of carved wood, the grounded solidity of natural stone, and the sculptural depth of its reliefs.‎ Through this lens, the bathroom transcends its functional role, becoming a more mindful and contemplative environment.‎ The collection establishes a dialogue between precise architectural geometry and the tactile richness of its surfaces.‎ MATERIA introduces two new textures - Carved and Fluted - each offering different expressions depending on how they are applied.‎ These surfaces may be articulated in positive or negative, either across the front panels or integrated into the handle, resulting in three formal variations of the unit system that expand the collection’s design possibilities.‎ From this interplay between formal simplicity and material depth arises a soft minimalism - one that brings a sense of calm, balance, and quiet grounding to the space.‎ Further info from manufacturer on NORM MATERIA Inbani
