THERMATEX®Acoustic Medical is a 19 mm thick ceiling tile made from a special perforated mineral board with an acoustic fleece facing.‎ The combination of high density, bio-soluble mineral wool with clay and starch provides excellent physical characteristics, particularly for acoustic performance.‎ (19 mm thickness / NRC = 0.‎70) In patient areas, comfortable room acoustics enhance the feeling of well-being and promote the healing process.‎ A sound-optimised work space is also important for people working in hospitals, nursing homes or laboratories, as too much noise disturbs concentration and can even lead to clinical signs of illness.‎ Different areas and activities in healthcare facilities require very different acoustic requirements depending on the type of use.‎ For example, a corridor will require different acoustic treatment than a patient's room or an operating theatre.‎ For this need for individual solutions, we have developed the THERMATEX® medical range.‎ The range meets not only the strict hygiene requirements of the healthcare sector, but also our high demands on fire protection and acoustic requirements.‎ At the same time, the range offers a uniform appearance for every room, regardless of performance requirements.‎
