beauTwash
Floor-standing vanity unit with drawers
beauTwash, the name of which clearly conveys the intention behind the design. The letter “T” provides the iconic structural concept behind the entire system and serves as an essential graphic element that pervades its architecture, proportions and equilibrium. More than just a detail, the “T” is the element that identifies and defines the product as a whole.
beauTwash is inspired by a desire to go beyond the traditional view of bathroom furnishings as purely functional. The intention was not to create an object for the purpose of personal hygiene alone, but to design an item of furniture with its own scenic presence, formal rigour and instantly recognisable character.
The possibility of working with VITREON steel afforded by LAUFEN proved decisive in achieving this objective. Striking surfaces, depth of colour and a variety of finishes give the new product a sophisticated, contemporary presence. The material not only performs a technical function but also contributes to the expressive language, highlighting colour, enhancing purity of lines and reflecting light.
The result is an object that gives the bathroom a personal, intimate dimension associated with the daily ritual of personal care. This vision transforms the bathroom into a distinctive, personal space, almost an extension of the living room dedicated to wellbeing and domestic life.
Kartell and LAUFEN announce the opening of a new chapter in their partnership: Bathroom Collection 2.0 is designed to interpret the bathroom not only as functional space but as an environment dedicated to design, wellbeing and quality of life. Kartell chose the creative talent of Ferruccio Laviani to give shape to this new concept. Laviani is one of Kartell’s most representative designers and has worked with the brand for over thirty years.
This latest phase in the collaboration begins with another advance in technology: VITREON steel, an innovative glazed material with extraordinary expressive qualities. VITREON steel offers new perspectives in design, especially in terms of colour – an aspect of unique importance to Kartell’s identity. The new material plays a key role in the quest for a more modern, extended design language for the bathroom and provides a great opportunity for new forms of expression. The dialogue between steel, colour and home architecture redefines the way in which we experience the bathroom and brings this essential room into line with the Kartell lifestyle, as a coherent extension to contemporary living space. Rather than a mere product line, the new collection represents a whole new approach to home life.
