Floor-standing vanity unit
Ferruccio Laviani has worked on one of the most recognisable icons of Kartell design: Anna Castelli Ferrieri’s Componibile, which he has re-interpreted as a column washbasin with the ability to integrate the function of storage. This evolved product preserves the essence of the original but expands its
expressive language and range of applications. What emerges is a vision that extends beyond the individual product and offers a new way to see and enjoy the modern bathroom.
Kartell and LAUFEN announce the opening of a new chapter in their partnership: Bathroom Collection 2.0 is designed to interpret the bathroom not only as functional space but as an environment dedicated to design, wellbeing and quality of life. Kartell chose the creative talent of Ferruccio Laviani to give shape to this new concept. Laviani is one of Kartell’s most representative designers and has worked with the brand for over thirty years.
This latest phase in the collaboration begins with another advance in technology: VITREON steel, an innovative glazed material with extraordinary expressive qualities. VITREON steel offers new perspectives in design, especially in terms of colour – an aspect of unique importance to Kartell’s identity. The new material plays a key role in the quest for a more modern, extended design language for the bathroom and provides a great opportunity for new forms of expression. The dialogue between steel, colour and home architecture redefines the way in which we experience the bathroom and brings this essential room into line with the Kartell lifestyle, as a coherent extension to contemporary living space. Rather than a mere product line, the new collection represents a whole new approach to home life.
