The EVENT HORIZON wall lamp from the Onnda collection encapsulates the awe and mystery we experience when gazing at the night sky.‎ This luminaire invites us on a journey into the unknown cosmos, evoking a sense of wonder akin to contemplating the vastness of space.‎ Inspired by the astronomical term “event horizon” - the boundary around a black hole beyond which nothing can escape, not even light - this lamp pays homage to the great Unknown.‎ The EVENT HORIZON wall lamp brings the cosmos closer, transforming a profound cosmic concept into a tangible, luminous piece of art.‎ Crafted with a commitment to material innovation, the lamp’s ethereal colors result from optical phenomena such as birefringence, refraction, and reflection, rather than colored light sources.‎ This interplay of light and material reflects our Studio’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of design and material science.‎ The lamp can only be powered via a socket, not connected to cables coming straight from the wall.‎ It is dimmable (10%-100%)  and has three interchangeable light temperatures ( 3200 K-5500 K )  which can be controlled via an integrated cable switch.‎ Material: Plexiglas, wood, aluminum, LEDs.‎ Input range: 100-240V, the S version can be powered via a USB port (EU USB adapter provided) ONNDA luminaires are crafted from locally sourced, certified materials, such as FSC-certified wood.‎ All luminaires are made to order, reducing waste and excess stock.‎ The components are crafted by local artisans, and the assembly is conducted in-house.‎ These luminaires are long-lasting, utilizing LEDs.‎ Additionally, their components can be easily replaced, ensuring extended usability and sustainability.‎ LO Contemporary strives to upcycle leftovers from our luminaire production; the acrylic sheet leftovers are used as raw materials for ONNDA jewelry pieces.‎ Embracing sustainability with elegance, ONNDA for her goes beyond its aesthetic allure by embodying a commitment to eco-friendliness.‎ Crafted from thoughtfully sourced offcuts derived from the production of ONNDA light, this collection is a testament to responsible design and environmental consciousness.‎ Further info from manufacturer on EVENT HORIZON LO Contemporary
