FJ ELEMENTS
Aluminium table lamp
FJ Elements is a table lamp featuring downward-directed light and includes a diffuser that provides pleasant, glare-free illumination. The light direction can be adjusted by rotating the lower shade around the upper shade. Additionally, an opening between the upper shade and the housing allows for gentle upward lighting.

While the geometric shapes of FJ Elements embody simplicity, playful creativity is evident in the way the upper shade can rotate over the lower one. This feature allows the light to be directed as desired.
This is one of the rare lamp designs created by Finn Juhl (1912–1989), one of Denmark’s most famous architects. Originally designed in 1963, the pendant lamp and table lamp were reintroduced as FJ Elements in 2025, including the original two-tone grey version.
The name of the lamp derives from Finn Juhl’s hand sketches, in which he described it as composed of “elements.” These early drawings document the lamp’s shape, proportions, and concept for an entire series of lamps and also reveal its overall construction. While the materials and geometric lines of the FJ Elements design stand out for their simplicity, playful creativity is evident in the way the upper shade can rotate over the lower one. This feature allows the direction of the light to be controlled in various ways, while also transforming the appearance of the lamp.
