Costanza 40 is the new version of the iconic Costanza floor lamp.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, three new lampshades with special patterns are introduced — an intervention that renews the identity of the icon without compromising the lightness and formal balance of its design.
The new graphics interpret the diffuser as a design surface, exploring new expressive possibilities through the interaction of light, pattern, and material.
Today, with these new lampshades, Luceplan continues this exploration: the shade becomes a graphic surface capable of interacting with light and generating ever-changing atmospheres, while preserving the archetypal essence that has made Costanza a timeless presence in contemporary living spaces.
With the new collection, the white lampshade gains a new sense of three-dimensionality through three different interpretations of its surface:
The first lampshade features a graphic pattern that recalls the folds of pleating, creating the illusion of a soft and lightweight material.
The second is defined by a grid of small squares divided into four triangles: each face has a different opacity, generating a three-dimensional diamond effect that fully reveals itself when the lamp is switched on.
The third option explores a more essential graphic solution — a very thin and dense vertical line pattern that gives elegance and rhythm to the surface.
Forty years after its creation, Costanza continues to evolve without losing its identity: an essential and flexible design, capable of adapting to different contexts and styles, from contemporary minimalism to more classical traditions.
