First launched in 2008, the Hiroshima chair was born form the desire to create a wooden furnishing with the glow of artistic handcrafting, which could give a sense of immaculate purity as well as warmth generated from both the material and the use of the chair in everyday life.‎ Looking as if it was carved out of solid wood, Hiroshima armchair has a strong impact featuring gentle but decisive curves from the arm through the back.‎ For Maruni Collection 2022, Fukasawa designed a new edition with a more spacious cushioned seat that adds a further level of comfort in the seating experience.‎ The refined design, together with the elegance and the coziness, allows Hiroshima Armchair to be used as a dining chair as well as a lounge chair.‎ The new Hiroshima is available in beech, oak and walnut wood with various finishes and cushion in textile and leather.‎
