Goom is a soft and enveloping sofa designed by Jean Marie Massaud, a longtime collaborator of MDF Italia.‎ A tribute to the force of gravity, this upholstered piece is a sculptural volume designed for total immersion in comfort.‎ At the same time, the visual appeal offers an extra layer of comfort, thanks to in-depth research into materials aimed at achieving ultimate softness.‎ The cushion edges are an iconic design feature, enhancing the contrast between weight and lightness, creating a floating effect.‎ Goom is a modular system including individual elements, a chaise longue – with the option of adding an armrest – two corner units and two poufs, designed to allow for personalised configurations.‎ From the wooden internal structure to the upholstery and foams, Goom has been designed to be fully disassembled, aligning with circular economy principles.‎ Structure Seat and backrest supporting structure made of fir plywood from sustainably managed forests, webbed and padded with differentiated-density polyurethane foam, using a material blend containing at least 15% recycled polyols.‎ The seat and backrest cushion cover is filled with recycled R-PET microfiber and covered with a fabric made from second-life materials; in the Goom Regular version, the cushion cover is not included and the lining is made of thermobonded PET fiber.‎ Feet and hidden coupling system.‎ Additional cushions  Available additional cushions in 50x40 and 50x50 cm.‎ Padding in recycled R-PET microfiber and covered with a fabric made from second-life materials.‎ Armrest With a structure in curved aluminium sheet, available in matt lacquered finish or veneered in bleached oak or Canaletto walnut.‎ Polyurethane foam padding with a material blend containing at least 15% recycled polyols, covered with thermobonded PET fiber.‎ Upholstery The upholstery is made to enhance softness, and covers every part of the sofa.‎ It is also completely removable.‎ An additional upholstery cover can be purchased for all elements.‎ Modules Goom Regular NEW! seat depth 60 cm • single unit L88 D105 H76 • single unit L103 D105 H76 • 90° corner unit L134 D105 H76 • 120° corner unit L143 D115 H76 • square pouf unit L98 D98 • rectangular pouf unit L98 D80 • armrest L27 D37 H48, for single unit with 60 cm seat depth.‎ Goom XL seat depth 72 cm • single unit L88 / L103 D118 H76 • chaise longue unit L103 D173 H76 • 90° corner unit L134 D134 H76 • 120° corner unit L143 D134 H76 • square pouf unit L103 D103 • rectangular pouf unit L103 P73 • armrest L30 D45 H48, for single unit with 72 cm seat depth and for chaise longue.‎ Seat height All elements are supplied with feet in two height options: • H42 cm, seat height with 4 cm feet (standard); • H44 cm, seat height with 6 cm feet.‎
