Motivo is a collection designed by Ronan Bouroullec that draws inspiration from the tradition of wooden wall coverings typical of boiserie, reinterpreted in a contemporary key through ceramic material.‎ It is a modular system that at the same time protects and characterizes walls, defining the space with lightness and depth.‎ Born from childhood memories of grandparents’ homes and inspired by the interiors of old Scottish castles, Motivo is an act of care – a surface that interacts with light and enriches the space without overwhelming it.‎ The collection is configured as a harmonious composition of double-fired glazed elements in a matt finish, a metallized-finish element, and unglazed porcelain stoneware strips (UGL) with full-body colored clays (in the “T”, “L” and “Terminal” shapes).‎   Further info from manufacturer on MOTIVO Mutina
