Officine Tamborrino MEMÈ Modular highboard in painted steel and olive wood

Memè is a modular sideboard that evokes the warmth of kitchens of yesteryear, reinterpreted in a contemporary key.‎ Designed by MCA Design for Officine Tamborrino, it combines tradition and innovation with essential lines, sustainable materials and an integrated hydroponic module.‎ A timeless design object that dialogues with the environment, transforming the space into a place of conviviality and well-being.‎ Born from the collaboration between Officine Tamborrino and MCA Design, Memè is much more than a simple sideboard: it is a piece of furniture that tells a story, a bridge between past and future.‎ Inspired by the affective memory of Mario Cucinella, who wanted to evoke his grandmother's kitchen cabinet, this sideboard reinterprets a domestic icon with an innovative outlook, attentive to modularity and sustainability.‎ The painted metal structure blends with details in reclaimed olive wood, from Apulian trees affected by Xylella, giving new life to a material unique for its veins, colours and scents.‎ The shades chosen for Memè are part of the sophisticated Kerakoll Color Collection, with elegant and timeless nuances that fit harmoniously into any environment.‎ Memè's distinctive feature is its modularity: composed of independent modules, it can be transformed into a low sideboard, wall unit or cabinet at different heights, adapting to space and functional requirements.‎ But the beating heart of the project is the integrated hydroponic module, an innovative solution that makes it possible to grow aromatic herbs and vegetables directly in the kitchen, with a dedicated lighting system.‎ A detail that redefines the relationship between interior design and nature, transforming the domestic space into a more sustainable and authentic environment.‎ With Memè, Officine Tamborrino and MCA Design sign a piece of design that goes beyond aesthetics: it is an ode to conviviality, quality craftsmanship and responsible innovation.‎ A piece of furniture designed for those seeking an elegant, versatile piece of furniture that is deeply rooted in the beauty of matter and memory.‎ Further info from manufacturer on MEMÈ Officine Tamborrino
