ALBE D'OR is a rare marble, characterised by vertical golden veins running through a silver-grey background. It was a symbol of architectural elegance between the 1920s and 1950s, before gradually falling into obscurity for decades.Salvatori has revived its use and holds the exclusive rights to it.
The material’s strength lies in its relationship with light: when struck by oblique light, the golden veins come alive, creating a revelation that renews itself over time — a ‘daily dawn’, intimate and silent, from which it takes its name.
Each surface is therefore unique and ever-changing: the visual effect varies depending on the angle and intensity of the light, offering a perceptual depth that cannot be replicated.
