The POROTON® 800 product line is completed by reinforced masonry elements, appropriately shaped to allow the vertical metal reinforcement to be combined with the load-bearing masonry. The horizontal reinforcement is instead placed inside the horizontal mortar joints. The use of the POROTON® reinforced masonry construction system is particularly suitable for structures located in areas of any degree of seismic risk; however, the insertion of modest quantities of reinforcement in some points of the masonry structure can provide advantages in all cases (for example, reduced risk of cracking).
