Sifas HIPS Low round aluminium garden side table

Hips is a coffee table diam.‎90 cm with structure and top aluminium.‎ The HIPS table collection is inspired by the iconic New Look silhouettes that left their mark on the minds, and wardrobes, of the 1950s.‎ A revolution in the codes of femininity, symbolized by fitted jackets with rounded shoulders.‎ A new aesthetic approach, which marks the renewal of Paris, capital of fashion, and its supremacy symbolized by haute couture of which the French have the secret.‎ The HIPS collection reappropriates the codes of prestige of French elegance.‎ A desire for freedom, openness and simplicity, the New Look being seen as an expression of optimism after the conflicting years, in constant search for functionality and emancipation.‎ The transformation of styles and inspirations is propelled by economic and social changes.‎ From his native French land, to the United States, it is both “an aesthetic shock and a scandal”.‎ A revolution in volumes and lines which experienced dazzling and immediate success without further delay.‎ The time has come for renewal, inventing lyrical forms with a liberated gesture.‎ The concept of good design that prioritizes functionality without eliminating beauty.‎ Like the hourglass, from which the contours are inspired.‎ The harmonious and generous shapes of the HIPS collection are part of the search for, and the achievement of, timeless and elegant designs.‎ A new, more contemporary direction.‎ Further info from manufacturer on HIPS Sifas
