Core reinterprets the bar table as a central element of contemporary living, restoring its relational role: an open experience in which function and conviviality coexist with memory and transformation – a space around which people gather, converse and wait. The piece is reimagined as a low table that opens and reveals itself. The surface becomes a support plane, while the volume transforms into a container: bottles, objects and everyday rituals find an orderly and discreet place within. The opening mechanism is integrated into the design, natural and intuitive, leaving room for experience and interaction. Tacchini’s project revisits the memory of great domestic bar tables and updates it into an object that accompanies time without imposing postures or uses, adapting to different moments of the day. Designed for the fluid environments of the contemporary home, Core is an active presence that encourages sharing and informality.
