Versions
Here in the version as a 2-way switch. A 2-way switch can either be used individually as an on/off switch or in conjunction with a second 2-way switch to switch a light. If you want to switch from more than two locations, a intermediate switch is required for each additional location.
Here in the version as an intermediate switch. An intermediate switch is necessary if a lamp is to be switched from more than two places. 2-way switches are used to switch a lamp from up to two places.
Here in the version as a series switch. With a series switch, two lights can be switched on and off separately and together. There are four switch positions: Off, A on, A and B on, B on. These are each switched by a quarter turn.
Here in the version as a shutter switch. A shutter switch (group switch) switches like a series switch, but always separately. There are four switch positions: off, A on, off, B on. These are each switched by a quarter turn. Ideal for switch-operated roller shutter motors. Not compatible with pulse-operated (impulse) roller shutter motors that are designed to be used with push-buttons.
Here in the version as a double-pole switch. Double-pole switches disconnect two contacts completely. For example, you can switch individual areas of a distribution board completely free of current by physically disconnecting both poles. They are designed as on/off switches and can only be used individually.
