TERRE BAGNO
Electric terracotta towel warmer
Designed by Sebastian Herkner, TERRE BAGNO is an electric towel warmer that combines the charm of terracotta with contemporary technology, transforming the radiator into a decorative element with a strong architectural character.
The heating body is made of terracotta obtained from a fine clay sourced exclusively from the Impruneta quarry in the Tuscan Chianti region. The extrusion process gives the product a distinctive material presence, which differentiates it from traditional metal radiators.
The enamelled surface retains slight variations and micro-porosity that testify to the authenticity of the material and make each element unique. TERRE BAGNO is available in the finishes Bianco Vetroso, Marrone Corteccia, Grigio Minerale, Blu Oceano and in the transparent version, which brings out the natural colour of terracotta.
Inside the radiant body is integrated a recycled and recyclable aluminium structure developed by Tubes, which houses a 220/240 V electrical resistance with safety thermostat, guaranteeing thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
Designed for the bathroom environment, TERRE BAGNO features a brass towel rail available in the 140 colours of the Tubes colour chart and in different galvanic finishes, easily coordinated with taps and fittings and metal details. Integrated hangers on the sides further extend its functionality.
The product can be completed with a shelf in White Carrara marble, Black Marquina marble or matt lacquered MDF, which adds a practical storage surface for accessories and everyday objects.
The Elements collection is the expression of a desire to eliminate stereotypes and pre-established industrial design processes. In a society that is free from conditioning, objects - whatever kind they may be - can “release themselves” too; that is to say, they can eliminate technical aesthetics and undergo design modifications. So freeing a radiator from its valves and position these at a distance of as much as six metres, thanks to a patented built-in unit, is equivalent to freeing it from its typical technical appearance. This brings about new possibilities of interpretation of form according to aesthetic-intellectual rules that differ from previous ones. For this reason, along with the Basics and Extras collections, the company introduced the Elements collection, created by architects and designers of international renown. Elements becomes a “container of ideas” where the designers are called upon to create radiators that are more closely linked with the aesthetics of the home, where the sensual warmth of heating products is integrated into the architectural space with the same dignity and importance in project terms as other contemporary interior decoration elements.
