PRODUCT PREPARATION AND APPLICATIONMix
SabbiaCEMENTO VAGA with about 1 litre of clean water per bag, taking care to use the entire contents of each bag. For proper mixing, we recommend using a mechanical mixer (concrete mixer, auger mixer, etc.). Mix the product to achieve complete homogenisation of the components until a "wet earth" consistency is achieved.
After mixing, apply the product within a maximum of 60 minutes. Before applying the product, always make sure that the substrate is clean and free of crumbling parts, oils, grease. To make screeds of large surfaces and/or near walls and pillars, it is advisable to make suitable expansion joints, placing desolidarising material (cardboard, expanded polystyrene, etc.) before casting. Reinforce the parts of the screed crossed by channels by placing a light metal reinforcement (e.g. hexagonal mesh). If the laying work is interrupted, it is necessary to insert iron rods 20-30 cm long, with a diameter of 3-6 mm, into the screed, cut perpendicularly to the substrate, at a distance of 20-30 cm, in order to guarantee a perfect weld when the casting is resumed and to avoid cracks and unevenness. In the presence of rising damp, use suitable waterproof sheaths capable of forming a vapour barrier. The product is APPLICABLE BY MACHINE AND BY HAND.
