VAGAQUARZ

VAGAQUARZ is a ready-to-use mixture based on natural mineral aggregates (quartz), of high hardness, suitable for protecting concrete floors.‎ Its high mechanical resistance makes it particularly suitable for use in industries and warehouses with high handling traffic.‎ Good aesthetic effects can be achieved in different colour shades.‎ VAGAQUARZ is a ready-to-use product, already pre-mixed with cement, additives and additions and is applied manually or mechanically on fresh concrete.‎ PACKAGING VAGAQUARZ is supplied in 25 kg bags on pallets of 1575 kg (equivalent to 63 bags).‎ FIELDS OF USEThe main fields of use are: - New floors under construction - Residential, commercial and industrial - Logistics warehouses - Warehouses, couriers, forwarding agents - Freight terminals, storage areas - Loading platforms - Airport hangars - Garages, car parks - Chutes for access to garages or car parks - Automotive industries, etc.‎ The main advantages are: - Increases the mechanical strength of the surface - Pleasant aesthetic effect - Adheres monolithically to the surface - Resists impact - Resists slipping and creeping - The finish can be made smooth or non-slip.‎ PRODUCT APPLICATIONConcrete quality The concrete casting must be formulated with a suitable aggregate to achieve the desired result.‎ The air content/aggregate in the concrete must be less than 3%.‎ VAGAQUARZ dusting should be dry-applied to the concrete as soon as it supports a man's weight (perform footprint test), normally after 4-12 hours depending on temperature and weather conditions.‎ Surface preparation Large areas of concrete should be cast using laser screed.‎ For smaller areas, a suitable surface can be created by first preparing the level surfaces and levelling them with aluminium stripes.‎ Application VAGAQUARZ dusting For best results, dusting should be applied in two coats in the manual system.‎ Using a mechanical applicator (duster), one coat may be sufficient.‎ In the manual system, the first coat of VAGAQUARZ dusting should be applied evenly over the surface.‎ The CONSUMPTION is as follows: Manual application first coat: 2 / 3.‎5 kg/ m2; second coat: 1.‎5 / 2 kg/m2.‎ Mechanical application with a spreader (instant telescopic duster) One coat: 8 / 12 kg/m2.‎ When VAGAQUARZ dusting has absorbed all moisture, the surface must be smoothed using a hand trowel for corners and edges, while the main surface will be mechanically smoothed using a vibro-compacting machine (helicopter).‎ To obtain a hard, smooth surface, use a helicopter with finishing blades.‎ To obtain a good smoothness on light colours use Teflon blades.‎ Curing It is essential to adhere to the curing times before the floor is put into service.‎ Curing times: - Walkable: 7 days - Lightweight: 14 days - In service (forklifts): 28 days
