The ultimate home office chair
Designed to improve your sense of well-being while sitting, Variable™ is the ideal chair for work and study, and for any activity that requires you to sit for long periods of time. It follows the body's natural movements and allows you to switch between kneeling and more traditional positions. Based on the balans® concept, its sloping seat relieves pressure on the lower back and reduces tension in the neck and shoulders. Variable™ has no mechanical adjustments, making it more intuitive to use, and is lightweight and easy to move around.
Variable™ is movement
The curved runners rock slightly while the angled seat allows for an open posture. The knee pads can be used to maintain position, to rest one foot, or both, or neither, keeping them flat on the floor. Thanks to its curved runners, Variable™ encourages gentle movement. Move from one position to another to find the ideal balance point for your body.
Materials
Variable™ is made from beech plywood. The plywood is treated using an iterative moulding process in which several layers of veneer are combined and glued together. Through the application of combined heat and pressure, the layers are given their characteristic shape. All wooden parts are flexible and durable, ensuring a seating experience that is never static. For a beautiful and durable finish, our plywood is covered with a top veneer of ash, hand-sanded and coated with water-based lacquers.
Variable™ Monochrome is upholstered in ONE by Fidivi. ONE is a fabric made from 100% recycled polyester, sourced entirely from post-consumer plastic waste. The fabric is produced in Italy and is OEKO-tex certified, as well as complying with the Global Recycled Standard. The fabric is soft to the touch and has a slight sheen. With 100,000 Martindale, the fabric is durable and suitable for everyday use.
