Vaselli WATERFALL Freestanding marble washbasin

Water always finds its way.‎ It captivates us as it elegantly traces its path.‎ Flowing through the obstacles it encounters, it patiently sculpts the stone that cannot escape its relentless and noisy flow.‎ The geometry of WATERFALL follows the water as it flows through various levels, creating imaginary lake beds that our minds are drawn to by the murmur of many small waterfalls.‎ Pitsou Kedem has had the audacity to reinterpret one of nature's most fascinating phenomena, giving us the opportunity to experience the wonder of a waterfall in our daily lives.‎ The washbasin is made from a single block of Arabescato marble.‎ The veins of the marble flow uninterrupted across the entire parallelepiped, continuing onto the removable tray, which has been carved with a characteristic polygonal grid pattern, precisely because it was obtained by cutting the thickness in sequence with that used for the rest of the washbasin.‎ The body of the washbasin has been hollowed out to reduce its weight, and the tray has been CNC-shaped and then carefully and patiently smoothed by hand, given the angularity of its shape.‎ WATERFALL is certainly an atypical object, which best expresses Vaselli's traditional craftsmanship together with the desire to innovate and surprise through design.‎ Further info from manufacturer on WATERFALL Vaselli
