Warli FOLKLORICO Handmade wool rug

Folklorico continues the development of Warli's new products that look at the world of tradition revisited in a contemporary key.‎ It's a handknotted rug, thin, soft and very light.‎ Entirely made of New Zealand wool, it has a bi-colored texture with a deliberately vintage look that overlaps a monochromatic base.‎ We like to think that it will be reassuring and alternative, with features that make it unique in its kind.‎ Quality: Handknotted, 100% wool.‎ Thickness: 8 mm approx.‎ Weight: 2,1 Kg/sqm approx.‎ AVAILABLE COLOURS: FLK|01 (Rust) FLK|02 (light green) FLK|03 (plum) FLK|04 (blue) FLK|05 (charcoal) The configuration (size + color) must be completed to obtain the final price of the product.‎ The knotting technique is a completely manual method, by which the wool is firmly attached to the warp by knots.‎ The type of knot and its thickness differentiate the types of rugs made with this elaborate manual method.‎ The value, quality and durability of the rug is directly proportional to the number of knots employed.‎ The hand knotting allows for complex designs, its main characteristics are meticulous workmanship, the high number of knots per square metre and the wide range of colour combinations.‎ The Indo-Tibetan knotting technique is particular, brought to India by Tibetan refugees, while the “sumak” knotting technique has Persian origins.‎ Further info from manufacturer on FOLKLORICO Warli
