YTOFOR is a reinforced reinforcement system in a 40 or 80 mm wide roll of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks with a thin joint, consisting of a network of intertwined galvanised steel cables covered in glass fibre with a high yield strength of 1770 MPa.‎ Laboratory tests have shown that the YTOFOR tape is as strong as a traditional reinforcement made from steel rods, guaranteeing a 25% time saving compared to the laying of traditional reinforcing bars.‎ The correct laying procedure involves laying the tape on the course of clean blocks, applying Ytong FIX N200 adhesive mortar using a special trowel with corrugated teeth, and laying the blocks in the next row.‎ The increased ease of use and savings in time and material are obvious advantages.‎ YTOFOR is a strong and flexible tape that is easy to store, unroll and cut.‎ The reinforcing tape is sold in rolls of 30 metres length, stored in easily transportable and storable packages on the construction site.‎ What Ytofor is used for: Provides greater spacing between technical control joints To prevent cracking due to masonry movement, control joints must be provided that divide the wall into smaller portions.‎ YTOFOR allows for greater spacing between technical joints, enabling the construction of longer walls with the same thickness.‎ Reinforcement for non-structural reinforced masonry Ideal for external infills, partitions and internal partitions, large industrial walls.‎ In accordance with the Circular of 21 January 2019 applying the NTC 2018, the verification of masonry against seismic action is considered fulfilled by inserting reinforcement every 500 mm maximum.‎ Reduces the risk of cracking We recommend the use of YTOFOR reinforcement tape in masonry built in particularly deformable structures (e.‎g.‎ steel or wooden slabs and beams, existing buildings).‎
