Jamshid, the Silk Road Collection, Fischbacher 1819. Designed by Camilla Douraghy Fischbacher and produced by Zollanvari in a Ziggurat technique with wool pile on a woollen foundation, dyed using natural dyes exclusively.
Jamshid is named after a legendary Persian king. The carpet is inspired by a multi-layered, abstract landscape that results in a soft striped design in vibrant colours. A silent dialogue between earth, horizon and atmosphere.
The ziggurat technique is used, in which the pile is deliberately left longer to achieve a soft, tactile surface. Jamshid is hand-knotted by Luri nomadic women using traditional techniques and hand-spun sheep's wool dyed with natural dyes.
