ADL GALLERIA Glass sliding system

Galleria is a new sliding system designed by Italian-Canadian designer Alessandro Munge for ADL.‎ The style is highly innovative in terms of aesthetics compared to other single-glazed sliding systems.‎ Inspired by the vaults of galleries in large Italian cities such as Milan and Naples, the idea is to use new vertical uprights with a sophisticated curved shape instead of the usual square profiles.‎ The system creates a visual emphasis on all the vertical structural elements compared to the horizontal ones, interrupting the perception of the perimeter frame typical of common aluminium and glass sliding doors, thus defining a new stylistic benchmark for the most advanced connection systems.‎ The new Galleria sliding door has three distinctive features: the aluminium uprights are particularly thin and deep (11 mm wide and 46 mm deep), appearing on one side of the sliding door as curved blades, while on the other side the thickness of the upright is square and almost flush with the mirror.‎ Another distinctive feature is that the glass is not housed centrally in the profile (as is the case with almost all sliding systems) but is completely supported on the inside, emphasising the perception of depth of the vertical uprights.‎ Completing the strong identity is a special full-height handle whose curved section is in perfect stylistic harmony with the structure of the system.‎ Galleria is available in black aluminium or light bronze finish with a handle in the same finish or in wood, with a choice of Canaletto walnut or natural oak.‎ Types of opening systems: sliding door TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Aluminium on sliding track - In ALLUMINIO LEGA EN AW 6060 stato T5.‎ - Anodic oxidation in compliance with regulations in force.‎ Glass panes - The glass panes are always safe: tempered / laminated tempered.‎ - Shatterproof glass in compliance with regulations in force.‎ - 6 mm glass pane.‎ Sliding system Telescopic track.‎ The system permits the track to be perfectly level, guaranteeing that the doors always slide fluidly.‎ Sliding door carriage with 4 nylon coated bearings.‎ Maximum load 120 kg per carriage.‎ Automatic breaking mechanism for the opening and closing of the leaf, standard on all models.‎ The system for installing the leaf onto the carriages is completely concealed.‎ Further info from manufacturer on GALLERIA ADL
