Lift and slide window
Lift-and-slide windows are one of the solutions for large opening windows and give elegance and more light to rooms. Their 'Lift and Slide' mechanism guarantees the sliding opening and sealing of the window on very large surfaces with heavy sashes. The opening, instead of being hinged like normal windows, is sliding on tracks and allows full exploitation of the wall and room surface area.
For special requirements, the frame can disappear inside the wall, guaranteeing almost 100% light passage. For these solutions it is necessary to foresee a specific counterframe.
The new Agostini Infinity series windows and doors have been designed to guarantee a product of excellence in every architectural and technical aspect.
The system is centred on Fibex Inside technology.
The Fibex composite material guarantees unparalleled insulation (Uw up to 0.80 W/m²K) and excellent mechanical resistance while maintaining reduced overall dimensions.
The exceptional insulation of Fibex and the special sealing system makes these sliding doors suitable for the most stringent climate house protocol constructions.
The Agostini Group's lifting sliding doors can be made in PVC, Aluminium-Wood, Aluminium alternatives, up to the new Total Class finish.
Particular attention has been paid to the design of the finished product with countless technical and aesthetic solutions.
In fact, the system can be realised either with the traditional symmetrical sashes, or with the fixed part realised with the glass without the frame in sight, giving maximum brightness to the glazing. This solution is ideal for making the fixed part larger than the opening sash. The frame is made with an internal and external carter that gives elegance and cleanliness to the system by covering the fixing and sealing elements that in traditional systems remain in view. Agostini Infinity sliding doors can be made in the alternatives PVC, Aluminium-wood, Aluminium, up to the new Total Glass finish that makes the frame look like a real picture. In this way the glass, free from the frame, becomes the only visible element of the sliding door and fills the room with new light, transparency and elegance.
1. Concealed recessed frame
The frame has been designed to be recessed into the masonry ("in bundle") making it disappear from external view.
2. Upper runner
In keeping with maximum insulation performance, the Fibex upper frame features a thermal break runner and a sealing system with 3 gaskets and a brush.
3. Carter
On the outside of the opening sash is a "carter" covering the frame, which gives elegance and cleanliness to the system and at the same time considerably increases the sealing and insulation performance of the frame by integrating a brush and an "acoustic" gasket. For an elegant finish, the fixing screws to the masonry are concealed.
4. Coplanar sash
To enhance the overall design, internally the primary sash of the sliding door has been made coplanar with the frame.
5. Lower sill
The Fibex lower sill has been reduced to a minimum height of 20 mm, guaranteeing an excellent seal and exceptional insulation. In the fixed side solution, the sill, thanks to the monorail solution, is half the depth of traditional systems, making it easier to pass through. To ensure correct movement over time, the system provides for the trolleys to slide on stainless steel guides. In special conditions it can be recessed into the floor, reducing the height to just 6 mm
6. Central knot
The central seal of the frame has been designed with a special system that provides a central tunnel with a double gasket and triple brush, generating a vacuum chamber that facilitates the evacuation of water on the lower outlet.
