BLACK SANDS MIRAGE – UMBRA is a hand-knotted, deep-pile rug made by Benisouk.
A high-pile rug in charcoal and black wool with a faint sheen at the base of the pile, hand-knotted at our atelier in Mrirt. The tone runs from near-black to smoked grey, catching light differently depending on the angle of the pile. The wool is dyed before spinning in a slow, multi-pass process that builds depth rather than flatness. No two rugs carry the exact same gradient. The pile stands dense underfoot and keeps its colour with normal use. Available with a backing suited to hard floors.
