Biobject IRATY Glass coffee table

Designed as a sculptural statement, the IRATY coffee table breaks away from the collection’s understated elegance.‎ Its form draws inspiration from the neighboring Auteuil greenhouses, while the stained glass pays tribute to the artisanal craftsmanship deeply rooted in these iconic sites of French heritage.‎ In collaboration with a stained glass artist, we developed a complex structure onto which Saint Just glass pieces are applied using the Tiffany technique.‎ We selected cast glass in varying thicknesses, textures, and shades of green, evoking the lush foliage of late summer.‎ Arranged across three different heights, these elements create a dynamic interplay of layering and transparency.‎ Echoing the work of Sol LeWitt, the structure emphasizes a strict, repetitive, and almost austere geometry, offering a striking contrast to the vibrancy and organic richness of the glass compositions.‎ Further info from manufacturer on IRATY Biobject
