Conte Casa CITIZEN KANE Desk with drawers

The desk, a contemporary space for meditation, intellectual activity and socialization, increasingly represents a refined and necessary corner in the modern home.‎ For Conte, designer Mauro Lipparini interprets this furnishing element as minimal, slender and light architecture.‎ The Citizen Kane desk, which recalls the name of the press magnate Charles Foster Kane from Orson Welles' Citizen Kane, is a masterpiece of craftsmanship.‎ Covered in natural leather and enriched with solid wood elements, this desk stands out for its elegance and versatility, adapting perfectly to both work and residential environments.‎ The minimal sections and the planes with rounded thicknesses form a harmony with decisive and elementary signs, with planes and volumes spatially opposed in a clear structural logic.‎ The flat leather sheet flexes and lies to cover all the volumes in the gesture of surrounding them, while enhancing the edges in Canaletto walnut wood, as if to highlight the internal section of the volumes themselves wrapped in the genuine tenacity of the leather.‎ Citizen Kane embodies the perfect combination of tailoring, saddlery and cabinet making, giving the product, thanks to the balance of the design, a measured and harmonious elegance.‎
