CRISBAR - Металлический соединитель
MBT 's range of Bargrip Bolted Sleeves provide an efficient method of joining reinforcing bars when the first bar to be joined is already in place and there is not enough space to work with a Bargrip hydraulic press.
They are easy to install and achieve breaking loads in excess of 115% of the bar's characteristic yield strength.
With MBT couplings, there is no need for threading on the bar end or rotation of the bar itself.
The coupling consists of a tube with two knurled saddles at the base. At the top of the tube are threaded holes that accommodate a bolt, with the head calibrated to a predetermined load, which tears out when the predetermined torque is reached.
From diameters 10 to 20 mm a simple ratchet spanner allows full assembly, while for larger diameters a screwdriver is recommended.
MBT couplings are designed and manufactured to BS EN ISO 9001. The most common types and sizes are BBA Approved and in addition the sleeves have been tested to prove compliance with international codes BS 5400, BS 8110, ACI 318 , DIN 1045 and BBK 94 Volume 22 Swedish code.
Thetypes
The Ancon MBT range of bolted sleeves offers an efficient solution for joining reinforcing bars.
Easy to install, they achieve loads above the yield strength of the bar by mechanically clamping the bars in the sleeve.
The bolt heads are tightened to embed the tapered tip of the bolt in the bar.
As a result of this tightening, the two toothed saddles, opposite the bolt line, embed themselves simultaneously in both the bar and the sleeve. The bolt heads are torn off at a predetermined torque.
When all the bolts have been tightened and the heads torn off the joining of the two bars is complete.
The Ancon MBT range of bolt sleeves includes:
Sleevetype ET, the original MBT joint for joining bars of equal diameter up to diameter 50 mm
ContinuitySleeve, designed to provide continuity in phased constructions.
Transition sleeve type ET, an efficient solution for joining bars of different diameters.
Transition sleeves are not standard and are produced on request.
A comprehensive series of tests has been conducted at NAMAS-accredited laboratories on all three sleeve types.
The breaking strength is higher than the yield strength (Fy) with high-strength reinforcing bars.
