Decona SYNONYM Backless steel and wood bench

The SYNONYM Backless Bench draws inspiration from post-industrial aesthetics and the rugged charm of old wooden scaffolding platforms, reimagined for contemporary public spaces.‎ Its design features distinctive rectangular offset legs that provide a modern, minimalistic foundation, supporting a thick, rounded wooden seat that feels both exclusive and substantial.‎ The result is a piece that balances raw industrial strength with a surprisingly soft, inviting touch.‎  Unlike purely geometric or organic designs, the SYNONYM Backless Bench celebrates the synthesis of heavy-duty utility and refined comfort.‎ The offset leg structure creates a unique visual rhythm and structural integrity, while the generous depth and rounded edges of the seat encourage relaxed, informal gathering.‎ It speaks to an era of repurposed materials and honest construction, making it ideal for revitalized industrial zones, creative districts, or modern parks that appreciate a nod to the past.‎ SYNONYM can be installed in three different variations: Mount with concrete base Post casting mount Surface mount The product is available in various types o  wood.‎All steel parts are hot dip galvanized to protect it from corrosion.‎ Optionally they can be powder-coatted in any Panton color.‎ Further info from manufacturer on SYNONYM Decona
