Adam Goodrum conceived COLLETTE as an abstraction of the Áo Dài collar in timber - a sculpted oak collar that extends into sweeping armrests with bevelled transitions resolved at every intersection. The bar chair lifts that curved identity to elevated proportion without concession. At bar height, the collection’s material discipline and joinery precision remain unchanged. Precise and composed at any height, COLLETTE operates as both a spatial and a cultural proposition.
Through a harmony of verticals and curves, COLLETTE offers an abstract reference to the Vietnamese traditional script, and a love letter to the craftsmanship of timber. The design’s sweeping backrest forms a collar (the meaning of ‘Collette' in French language) that’s instantly distinctive and inviting. Extended to swooping ridges of the armrests and their rounded ends, the frame provides ample support for ease and comfort. Elegant yet robust, COLLETTE comes in with a wide range of upholstery for its seat cushion, lending the collection a level of formality and sophistication in any space it finds a home in.
