EKU® FV
Ventilated facade
The EKU® FV ventilated façade system consists of an aluminium mullion structure and accessories that allow the attachment of cassette panels made of aluminium sheet metal or composite materials such as Alucobond. A variant with structural and semi-structural glass is also available.
Enabling the construction of ventilated façades in a simple and cost-effective manner, EKU® FV presents itself as a practical and effective system not only for the construction of new industrial, office or commercial structures, but above all for the renovation and redevelopment of existing structures.
The ventilated wall protects the existing building from wind and rain, provides excellent sound insulation, but the main advantage is the improvement in energy efficiency. In fact, the ventilation created in the cavity for the so-called 'chimney effect' and the protection of the existing envelope from direct sunlight allow for a significant reduction in the structure's energy requirements, both in winter and in summer.
Finally, aluminium and composite material panels are available in various finishes and colours, allowing them to meet any aesthetic-architectural requirement.
Advantages
- Protection of the masonry structure from the direct action of atmospheric agents.
- Better thermal-acoustic insulation and greater living comfort.
- The movement of air in the cavity helps to dry out any water infiltration and to remove heat accumulated by solar radiation in the cladding layer.
- The possibility of using various materials with which to realise the ventilated panelling allows the designer to obtain special aesthetic results.
- Easy to install.
